The Belarusian State University is presenting R&D products during the international exhibition Belarus-Egypt: Forward-Looking Partnership. The exhibition is taking place in the new administrative capital of Egypt, the university's press service told BelTA.
The Belarusian R&D products are represented in the sphere of aerospace technologies, pharmaceutics, veterinary science, food industry, instrument making, automation of industrial processes, and ecology. In particular, a number of Belarusian antitumor medications have been put on display in Egypt. Designed to treat malignant tumors, these hydrogels contain immobilized cytostatic agents and are to be implanted into the site of the removed tumor. The drugs cause the death of cancerous cells, prevent metastases, and help reduce the toxic impact on the human body.
The Belarusian State University also put on display a high-temperature optical thermograph IT-3SM. It is designed to measure the temperature of hot objects within the range of 900-1,300C. The instrument can be used as part of commercial and experimental plants in order to continuously monitor the temperature of metals during forging, die stamping, rolling, and tuning operations. Visitors can also see a series of veterinary biological preparations designed for treating and preventing diseases in agricultural animals and pets. Those are multifunctional pharmaceutical products that simultaneously combat viruses and bacteria in addition to modulating the immune response.
The innovative products of the Belarusian State University are on display as part of the collective booth set up to showcase Belarusian R&D and innovative products.
