Belarus' government action plan for H1 2020 approved

The plan of action of the Council of Ministers and the Presidium of the Council of Ministers for the first half of 2020 was approved by government resolution No.955 of 31 December 2019, BelTA learned from the website of the Council of Ministers.

The Council of Ministers shall consider the social and economic performance of Belarus in 2019 and in January - March 2020.

The Presidium of the Council of Ministers will focus on the results of the efforts to promote employment, to identify incomes of individuals hidden from taxation, to re-socialize persons leading an asocial way of life. The emphasis will also be made on the work of state representatives in the administration of economic societies, the shares (shares in statutory funds) of which belong to the state. The state of affairs in agriculture and measures to increase it effectiveness, and the state support for organizations in 2019 will also be on the agenda.

Plans are in place to review the draft concept of Belarus' Social and Economic Development Program for 2021 -2025 and the draft National Strategy for Sustainable Development for the period up to 2035.

The agenda also includes the conceptual basis of the forecasts of social and economic development of Belarus for 2021 and for the period up to 2023, the budget and fiscal policy guidelines for 2021 and the medium-term financial program for 2021-2023. All in all, the plan of action includes 18 issues.
