The main investors were economic entities of Russia (44.2% of the total investment), the UK (19.7%), and Cyprus (6.6%). Foreign direct investments amounted to $5.2 billion, which accounted for 73.6% of total foreign investments. In January-September 2019, Belarusian organizations (except for banks) invested $4.4 billion abroad.
The bulk of investments went to economic entities of Russia (62.3%), Ukraine (15.8%), and the UK (8.7%). Direct investments accounted for 91.1% of the total investment earmarked abroad.
