The delegation includes children of law enforcers killed or injured in the line of duty.
Internal Affairs Minister Ivan Kubrakov and the heads of the Internal Affairs Ministry's units greeted the guests at Minsk National Airport.
According to the Internal Affairs Ministry, the program of the Vietnamese delegation's visit to Belarus is extensive and varied. It includes excursions to the country's landmarks, a lot of informative and entertaining events, as well as visits to the museum and specialized lyceum of the Internal Affairs Ministry.
According to Ivan Kubrakov, the visit of the Vietnamese representatives to Belarus is the result of one of the agreements between the heads of the law enforcement agencies of the two countries. The agreements were signed during the April visit of the Belarusian Internal Affairs Ministry delegation to Vietnam.
“Both in Belarus and Vietnam, law enforcement officers often risk their lives while performing their official duties,” said Ivan Kubrakov. “When trouble comes, the Internal Affairs Ministry never stands aside. We take care of the families of our colleagues. Receiving the children of the Vietnamese police officers who died in the line of duty, we will try to make their vacation in our country interesting and memorable.”
