As of January 1, 2009, 4862 payers of the Minsk oblast including 3494 private unitary enterprises and 1368 sole traders use the simplified taxation system, BelTA learnt from Tatiana Shaban, deputy head of the inspection department of the Belarusian Tax Ministry. In 2008, the budget of the Minsk oblast received more than Br57.5 billion from the economic entities which use the simplified taxation system. As of July 1, 2007, when President’s Decree No119 “On simplified taxation system” came into force, the simplified taxation system was used by 276 payers including 153 organizations and 123 sole traders. According to Tatiana Shaban, President’s Decree No1 of January 1, 2009 “On amendments and addenda to President’s Decree No119” will give for greater number of economic entities the right to use the simplified taxation system. In line with President’s Decree No1 of January 1, 2009 “On amendments and addenda to President’s Decree No119” the term of the submission of an applications for using the simplified taxation system has been extended till January 20, 2009.
