The bus fleet of the Minsk oblast has got 40 new buses. Chairman of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee Leonid Krupets presented bus drivers with keys from new MAZ, Radimich and Neman buses. The ceremony of keys’ presentation was held in the town of Soligorsk on January 21, BelTA has learnt. The Minsk oblast budget assigned almost Br12 billion for purchasing the new buses, chief engineer of the Minoblautotrans company Alexander Khomyakov told BelTA. New buses were sent to the bus fleets of Soligorsk, Slutsk, Borisov, Molodechno, Vileika, Myadel, Nesvizh, Dzerzhinsk, Krupki, Stolbtsy, Zhodino and Marjina Gorka. In line with the programme of buses production for Minsk oblast’s bus fleets, since 2006 10% of the hauling stock has been renewed. In 2006, the regions of the Minsk oblast got 127 new buses at the amount of Br18.96 billion, in 2007 – 269 buses at the amount of Br37.88 billion, in 2008 – 189 buses at the amount of Br54.87 billion. As of January 1, 2009, the bus fleet of the Minsk oblast numbered 1019 buses. Daily around 800 buses convey more than 350,000 passengers. БЕЛТА
