About 17,000 proposals submitted for Belarusian People's Congress

“All in all, the organizing committee has already received 17,000 proposals, which are now being summarized. I believe that following the election of delegates and their work in the regions, on the ground, we will also get an impressive list of proposals that will help us to shape eventually the image of Belarus of the future,” Andrei Kuntsevich noted.

He recalled that the proposals can also be submitted via the website vsebel.by: "By the way, the website has already been flooded with hundreds of messages dealing from local issues to matters of national importance."

The Belarusian People's Congress must respond to today's expectations of the public. "Not only expectations of those who live in the capital city. My firm belief is that a strong country is made of strong regions. Therefore, I believe that regional development should be one of the priorities of the new five-year plan. Of course, a lot is already being done on this front, but we need to move forward and look for new points of growth,” he said.

Andrei Kuntsevich also spoke in favor of further de-bureaucratization of the state apparatus. "There is no secret that there are examples when, let's say, incompetence or rudeness of some officials derail the efforts of entire government," he said.

According to the deputy head of the Presidential Administration, the delegates of the National Congress are a variety of people of different professional affiliation, age, education, views on the state policy. "I believe that this diversity will allow us to find the right vector of the country's development. And, most importantly, there is a feeling that Belarus is not a monopoly game for them. They firmly understand that the country is not about meatballs and not about ribbons, the country is about the fate of people, the fate of their children and grandchildren," Andrei Kuntsevich said.
