The governor of the capital region summed up the results of the cleanup day in Minsk Region. The head of the region himself worked today at the memorial complex «Mound of Glory».
— Holding republican cleanup days is already a tradition. We are engaged in the improvement of burial sites, social institutions, production sites. Some spend this day at work. Today, together with the government leadership, we laid out a park on the «Mound of Glory» and planted over 400 trees and shrubs. In total, about 319 thousand people took part in the cleanup day in Minsk Region, — Kushnarenko noted.
According to the head of the region, cleanup days are evidence of the unity of the nation.
— As is known, labor unites people. The second is restoring order. The third is earning money for the construction of iconic objects. This year, the money will be used to build the National Historical Museum. As for the Minsk region, today they earned 1.8 million rubles during the clean-up day.
All regions of the Minsk region, without exception, joined the action to clean up the land. Thus, in the Minsk region, they organized the first inclusive clean-up day «Green Spring», in which children attending day care centers took part. In the Soligorsk region, the opening of the motorcycle season took place with the participation of more than 500 people.
The day before, bikers improved the monument to the victims of fascism in the urban settlement of Starobin. A new art object in the form of a bench with a writer’s pen was installed in the miners’ town.
In the Myadel region, the shoreline of Lake Myastro and the «Stary Myadel» park were improved, and in Maryina Gorka, 80 pine trees were planted on the territory of the memorial to tank soldiers of the 8th Guards Corps.
In the Chervensky District, the territory of the Zagorje forest park, the Cosmonauts’ Square, and the youth park were improved. A new skateboarding area appeared in the children’s park. In the Nesvizhsky District, the city action «Everyone to the Saturday cleanup: let’s clean up together» and the flash mob «Good workers are always at the Saturday cleanup» took place. Volunteers organized an intellectual competition among the population.
They also worked hard today in Berezino: they planted thujas in the Heroes’ Alley Park, and improved the territory of the Patotsky manor house. And in Kopyl, they put the monument to the liberator soldiers in order, and arranged an obstacle course for the training town at the Nacha tourist center of the Yunost branch of the Krupsky Children’s Art Center.
