The regional executive committee meeting will consider the results of the socio-economic development of the Minsk region for 2025 and the execution of the regional budget for 2025 with targets for 2026.
Alexei Kushnarenko noted that the main goal of socio-economic development is increasing the well-being of the population. "Qualitative growth must be ensured by effective labor and decent wages. The nominal accrued average monthly wage of employees of organizations in the region in 2025 amounted to 2,740 Belarusian rubles, or 117.7% of the previous year. "At the same time, special attention must be paid to the inadmissibility of unjustified wage increases," the chairman emphasized.
Alexey Kushnarenko also noted positive results in construction. "Construction and installation work has been completed for 7.7 billion Belarusian rubles, or 110.3% of the 2024 total. Organizations of all types of ownership have commissioned 11,700 new apartments, including more than a quarter of the total for citizens in need of improved housing conditions. However, our construction workers cannot relax. Construction in Minsk will be optimized, with a reorientation toward small towns and satellite cities, with an emphasis on rental housing for specialists in the regions," he recalled.
In 2025, more than 681,000 people were employed in the Minsk Region economy. "Employment increased by 6,000 people, or 0.9% compared to 2024. "At the same time, we still have more than 28,000 vacancies, primarily in blue-collar jobs," the regional governor noted.
Despite the successes achieved, the region faces significant challenges. "We need to develop infrastructure, improve transportation accessibility, and attract labor and investment to the region," stated Alexey Kushnarenko.
Projects within the "One District - One Project" initiative have been completed in each district and in the city of Zhodino. "The main goal of each is to create new jobs with decent wages and produce innovative products. "Without new projects, there will be no new jobs," the chairman noted.
Alexei Kushnarenko also added that despite record figures for crop and livestock production in the Minsk region, planned values have not been achieved in certain areas of agricultural production. -0-
