MINSK, 23 May (BelTA) – Belarusians will be able to make a “musical journey around Latin America” by attending one of the concerts organized by the Simon Bolivar Latin American Cultural Center. As BelTA was informed in the center, one of the concerts had already been held at the culture center in Mogilev. The second one will be staged in Minsk State Linguistic University on 24 May. Another one is scheduled in Soligorsk on 26 May. The program of concerts features musical compositions of different regions of Venezuela and other Latin American countries. Musical pieces are performed by the Symphony Orchestra of the Mogilev City Chapel. The First Secretary of the Embassy, Coordinator of the Gerardo Estrada Latin American cultural center will act in the capacity of a guest conductor. Taking part in the concert will be also Ali Primera, a band performing Latin American music, Venezuelan folk dance company Yolanda Moreno from the Simon Bolivar Latin American Cultural Center. The groups include Belarusian young people who take interest in the culture of Latin American countries. The groups have already successfully toured Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, and Venezuela at the invitation of President Hugo Chavez. Concerts take the audience on an amazing journey around Venezuelan regions. The first part contains popular Venezuelan folk music. The second part includes well-known music compositions of Cuba, Brazil, Peru, Chile, Uruguay, Argentina, the Dominican Republic of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean Irelands. The concerts will make part of the celebrations of the third anniversary of the founding of the Simon Bolivar Latin American Cultural Center. БЕЛТА
