MINSK, 14 June (BelTA) – Minsk hosted a regular meeting of the Kazakhstan Friends Club in Belarus on 13 June. Primary attention during the meeting was attached to the results of the official visit of Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Belarus on 12-14 May 2012, BelTA has learnt. Kazakhstan Ambassador to Belarus Ergali Bulegenov updated the members of the club on the results of the 4th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions “Peace and Concord as the Choice of Mankind” in Astana as well as on the 5th Astana Economic Forum. Club member, Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich stated that he attended the Astana Economic Forum as a delegate of the Belarusian delegation. According to him, in its scale and depth the forum in Astana is “a Davos forum in Eurasia”. The Kazakhstan Ambassador expressed appreciation to the members of the club for their warm words and genuine sympathy left in the Book of Condolences at the embassy on the day of mourning in Kazakhstan due to a tragic death of military men at the Arkankergen border outpost. The club is founded to strengthen brotherly relations between Belarus and Kazakhstan as well as develop and consolidate political, trade, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and sci-tech cooperation between the two countries.
