MINSK, 17 August (BelTA) - Innovative International Summer School Sypemeda (Stage for Young Performing Media Artist) at the Belarusian National Drama Theater (BNDT) in Minsk will be running from 19 August to 1 September, BelTA learnt from spokesperson for the Culture Ministry of Belarus Yulia Viskub. The summer school will bring together 13 Belarusian directors and playwrights, about 50 actors from Belarus, 12 European media designers and 7 theater experts from Switzerland, Germany and Belarus. The major goals of the Sypemeda school is to share knowledge of theater arts, enrich traditional theatrical forms with new means of expression, develop international cultural contacts and get the artists and general public acquainted with the latest achievements in theater arts. The project is dedicated to the problems of communication and isolation of a person in the present world. The participants to the project will teach each other during seminars and master classes under the supervision of the leading European referents. The practical stage of the project will see each group of participants creating a little show about the Tower of Babylon. It can be a stage play, a visual installation or any other kind of performance. From 30 to 31 August these performances will be united into a single play which will occupy the whole BNDT. The project is carried out with the support from the Culture Ministry of Belarus, the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts, the BNDT and the Goethe Institute in Minsk. БЕЛТА
