In 2013 the export of services of Minsk Oblast sanatoriums and health resorts totaled Br432 billion, up 19% on the previous year, head of the Minsk Oblast department of the National Recuperation and Health Resort Treatment Center Nikolai Kozlov told BelTA.
Last year the revenue of the Minsk Oblast health resorts exceeded Br1 trillion, or 129% on 2012. The Minsk Oblast health resorts were visited by more than 307,000 people, including about 88,000 foreigners. The bulk of foreigners came from Russia, Israel, Poland, Germany and the Baltic states. They preferred sanatoriums with cardiovascular and digestive profile and those specializing on the treatment of musculoskeletal system disorders.
According to Nikolai Kozlov, health resorts Krinitsa, Yunost, Sosnovy Bor, Sputnik, Sosny, Naroch, Belaya Rus among the most popular among CIS and non-CIS tourists. Foreign guests are also among regulars in Rassvet sanatorium which offers spelean rooms for treatment and rehabilitation of people with respiratory diseases. The sanatorium also offers a course of treatment with the help of unique natural mineral water.
In Minsk Oblast there are 126 sanatoriums, including 34 health resorts and 29 recuperation organizations as well as 59 children’s recuperation camps.
