For each of us is a sacred holiday. He shines his light most heroic pages of our history, fills the heart with pride for his people - hard-working people, people - warrior, victorious people.
Whatever the enemy with a sword never came to our land , he always met the mighty resistance and found himself utterly overwhelmed. Such a fate befell the bloodiest in human history aggressor - Hitler's Germany. In any era and in any other country, so there were no examples of mass heroism , perseverance and courage, which showed our people during the Great Patriotic War.
A special chapter of this unforgettable epic - a powerful guerrilla movement in the forests of Belarus. During the occupation of the territory of Minsk region only acted almost fifty partisan brigades , brings together more than 55,000 people's avengers.
Sons and daughters of our land selflessly fought on all fronts. More than 80 natives and residents of Minsk Oblast awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union, thousands awarded military decorations and medals.
Kowtow to all who in arms defended their homeland, who worked from last forces in the rear, giving the front of all those in post-war devastation of famine raised crippled country from the ruins.
We live now , are the heirs of the great victories - military and labour. With this historic and spiritual and moral capital, we must make the will and mind to glory gained fathers and grandfathers never Merkle and inspire new generations of our people to high achievements.
Army - this is a monolithic rock , which strengthens our spirit and faith in the future worthy of our state.
Today we pay tribute to all who rightfully bears the noblest title - Defender of the Fatherland.
