BelAZ ships five mine dump trucks to Indonesia

01.04.2014

The trucks are designed to transport loose mined rocks along technological roads in open pits. Zhodino-based automobile engineering company Belarusian Autoworks (BelAZ trademark) has shipped five BelAZ 75473 mine dump trucks to Indonesia this year, the company’s representatives told BelTA. The vehicles were shipped in late February. The trucks are designed to transport loose mined rocks along technological roads in open pits. They can also be used for building major industrial and hydraulic installations, for building motorway complexes, and in various divisions of the processing industry, explained the source. BelTA has been told that in December four mine dump trucks BelAZ 75473 with the carrying capacity of 45 tonnes were assembled in Jakarta, Indonesia. It was the second batch of the mine dump vehicles Belarus had supplied to Indonesia. The vehicles were assembled by experienced specialists. The assembly was completed in late December, operators were trained to properly handle the vehicles. After that the vehicles travelled to the port and were shipped to the Island of Kalimantan where coal is mined using open pits. The vehicles arrived in the quarry on 15 February 2014. After a break-in test they were commissioned for transporting overburden rock. Founded in September 1948, the Zhodino-based automobile engineering enterprise Belarusian Autoworks (BelAZ) was incorporated into a public joint-stock company (OAO) in 2010. As of October 2012 OAO BelAZ is the managing company of BelAZ Holding. BelAZ makes dump trucks with the carrying capacity of 30 tonnes and up. BelAZ specializes in making mine dump trucks, frontal wheeled loaders and bulldozers, tow trucks, special vehicles for underground operations, heavy-duty trucks for metallurgy industry, and other specialized vehicles. BelAZ accounts for a third of the global market of rock haulers.
