Joy and jubilation that filled the hearts of millions of people May 9, 1945, is still living now, after many decades after the capitulation of Nazi Germany. In our republic, which brought a great sacrifice on the altar of Victory, from generation to generation soulful, inspirational cry of "The Motherland Calls!" With which our people have held out against the worst in world history aggressor. We are proud to be an enormous contribution to the defeat of fascism made Minsk region. Bloody terror and violence that unleashed on our land occupiers , not break the will of the people. Sons and daughters of Minsk region heroically fought the enemy on all fronts. Our region is one of the first guerrilla and clandestine centers. During the Nazi occupation there were almost fifty partisan brigades , brings together more than 55,000 people's avengers. For courage and heroism during the Great Patriotic War, more than 80 natives and residents of Minsk Region awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union, thousands awarded military decorations and medals. Kowtow to all who in arms defended their homeland, who worked from last forces in the rear , giving the front of all those in post-war devastation of famine raised crippled country from the ruins . We live now , are the heirs of the glorious generation of winners , and our duty - to be worthy of their fathers and grandfathers .
