A fish processing plant will open in Berezino District, Minsk Oblast, in 2015, Deputy Chairperson of the Berezino District Executive Committee Alina Zhdanovich told BelTA.
The project is being implemented by a Russian investor. The plant will process fish, including salmon, and will create 50 new jobs. “The investor hopes that a large part of the products will be exported,” Alina Zhdanovich noted. The plant is expected to produce the first batch of goods in Q2 of 2015.
A flax processing plant will also be put into operation in Berezino. Some 40 jobs will be created. “The equipment is currently being mounted. The production shop will manufacture monofilament fiber and short-stapled fiber with a high degree of purification for nonwoven fabric,” Alina Zhdanovich said. The plant will come on stream at the end of Q1 of 2015.
In addition, a new meat-processing plant will open in Berezino District next year.
