In 2017-2019 Belarusian Potash Company will ship 1.5 million tonnes of fertilizers to China. The plans are stipulated by the memorandum of cooperation between the Belarusian company and China National Chemical Construction Corporation (CNCCC), the press service of Belarusian Potash Company told BelTA.
The three-year memorandum was signed by Director General of Belarusian Potash Company Yelena Kudryavets and CNCCC President Xia Qinglong when the delegation of the Chinese company visited Belarus. The first memorandum on cooperation between the two companies was signed in December 2013 and has been fulfilled.
The document provides for selling 1.5 million tonnes of potash fertilizers to China in 2017-2019. The volume of shipments the memorandum stipulates is important for both sides. The signing of another memorandum testifies to the long-term nature of cooperation between the Belarusian company and the Chinese one, noted the press service.
Yelena Kudryavets believes that the memorandum will contribute to stronger long-term mutually beneficial cooperation between Belarusian Potash Company and CNCCC. In turn, Xia Qinglong mentioned the considerable accomplishments secured by the Belarusian company on the Chinese market. “I was impressed with the high level of manufacturing processes and the state-of-the-art technologies that I saw at Belaruskali. The responsible approach, reliability, and quality are what we appreciate in our Belarusian partner and what makes us confident in the prospects of future mutually beneficial cooperation,” said Xia Qinglong.
Belarusian Potash Company intends to work together with CNCCC to optimize potash sales in China and improve logistics solutions.
China National Chemical Construction Corporation (CNCCC) is one of the main importers of potassium to China. The company produces and sells fertilizers and chemical products. China National Offshore Oil Corporation, China's top offshore oil extracting company, owns 100% of the shares in China National Chemical Construction Corporation.
Belarusian Potash Company is one of the world's largest potassium exporters. In 2015 Belarusian Potash Company accounted for 19.3% of the world's export of potash fertilizers. Belarusian potash is shipped to over 100 countries across the globe.
