The second festival of student business companies will be held on
May 11 on the basis of the Minsk Regional Institute for Educational
Development (MIRO), BelTA learned from the education department of the
Minsk Regional Executive Committee.
"The first festival of student business companies in the Minsk
region, which was held in 2016, proved its relevance as an event
designed to promote the business and creative initiative of students in
the field of entrepreneurship, the development and implementation of
business ideas and projects," - Said in the management.
Student business companies, established and functioning on the
basis of educational institutions of the Minsk region, are invited to
participate in the second festival. The festival is held in two stages.
The first (correspondence) is held on April 15, for participation in
which student business companies need to register on the site of MIRO
and attach the company's business plan. The number of participants in
the second stage will be determined by the expert group of the festival
based on the analysis of business plans of the companies, taking into
account the structured and consistent description of the projects;
Availability of market analysis and marketing factors; Assessment of
financial efficiency (profit, profitability level, payback period, risk
assessment), etc. The list of participants of the second stage will be
published before May 3.
The second stage of the festival will take the form of an open
poster presentation of a business company and a demonstration of the
product or service provided, with elements of an interview and an
interview with an expert group. Last year, 22 companies from 14
districts of the Minsk region were represented in the final stage. Along
with the goods and services provided, students demonstrated their
business plans, staffing, job descriptions of employees, as well as
calculations reflecting the financial result of companies' work. Young
entrepreneurs then exchanged experience, met with representatives of
business structures, attended trainings and master classes.
The organizers of the festival are the Education Department of
the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee and the Minsk Regional Institute of
Educational Development. The first business companies were established
in educational institutions of the Minsk region in the 2011/2012
academic year. Now in the central region there are more than 130 student
business companies employing over 1,100 students.
