Representatives of youth of the Minsk region will take part in the
labor action on the building of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in
Luban on April 19, BelTA learned from the press center of the regional
committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union.
The regional labor action will become part of the republican
charitable project "Restoration of Belarus' Shrines", which is annually
held in the country from April to October. The project is aimed at
acquaintance of youth with spiritual and cultural heritage. His goal is
also the wide involvement of young people in the work process.
Heads of the territorial committees of the Belarusian Republican
Youth Union, volunteers of the "Good Heart" movement, as well as
clergymen of the Lyuban deanery of the Minsk diocese will take part in
the regional labor action. After the event, the Minsk Regional Committee
of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union and the religious community
will invite its participants to drive along the excursion route. The
youth will see the religious objects and local shrines, with the
improvement and restoration of which volunteers were involved in.
As noted in the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, about half a
thousand volunteers from the Minsk region annually take part in the
improvement and restoration of religious objects and structures of
various faiths. For example, only in 2015 more than 40 objects were
equipped with volunteers of the "Good Heart" movement.
