More than 100 conscripts from Minsk region today participated in a
solemn event in the memorial complex "Kurgan of Glory" dedicated to
sending young recruits to the Armed Forces, BelTA has learned.
During the rally, Deputy Chairman of the Minsk Oblast Executive
Committee Viktor Sirenko, Military Commissar of the Minsk Region Colonel
Nikolai Krivchenya, First Secretary of the Minsk Regional Committee of
the Belarusian Republican Youth Union Dmitry Voroniuk, Chairman of the
Minsk Regional Organization of the Belarusian Union of Officers Vladimir
Belousov and others expressed their words of support and support.
Bishop Borisov and Marynogorsky Veniamin conducted a rite of blessing
for military service.
The event was attended by the delegations of Borisov, Logoysk,
Minsk, Smolevichi districts, Zhodino, representatives of DOSAAF,
servicemen of the 5th separate special forces brigade of the Armed
Forces, a military band. The soldiers of the elite troops arranged a
demonstration performance for the recruits, in which they demonstrated
the elements of hand-to-hand combat, receptions with cold weapons,
stunts with fire, etc. Flowers were received from the government
authorities, public organizations, conscripts, students of military
patriotic classes, clergy . On the site of the memorial complex was
organized an exhibition of sports equipment DOSAAF.
As it was reported, in the spring call for the manning of the
Armed Forces, other troops and military formations of Belarus is planned
to send about 10 thousand people. Service in the reserve will be about 1
thousand conscripts.
