In the Minsk region until the end of the year, 92 firefighters are equipped with fire safety systems

27.10.2017

In the Minsk region, up to the end of the year 92 socially significant facilities are equipped with fire automatics systems. This was announced today by the head of the regional UMMC Maxim Shishkanov at the meeting of the executive committee, where issues of implementation in the region of the requirements of Directive No. 1 "On measures to strengthen public security and discipline" were considered, BelTA has learned. "During the year 92 socially important facilities are planned to be equipped with fire automation systems, among them dormitories in the Minsk region and Borisov, health care facilities - Borisov Central Regional Hospital (CRH), Borisov Hospital No. 2, Slutsk CRH. in the buildings of Berezinsky, Volozhinsky, Kletsk, Kopylsky, Slutsk, Smolevichsky, Soligorsk, Starodorozhsky, Uzda district executive committees, "Maxim Shishkanov informed. According to him, the full amount of work has already been done at several sites in Borisov, Slutsk and Stolbtsy. The issue of ensuring the operability and serviceability of fire automation systems at facilities with massive and round the clock stay of people does not lose its relevance. Sometimes employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reveal the facts of finding such systems in an inoperative condition. Violations testify not only to the shortcomings in the operation of the fire management systems of organizations, but also to the lack of control over the management of business entities over the quality of maintenance of such systems. The ways of solving the problem are worked out jointly by the bodies of the Ministry of Emergency Measures and the Prosecutor's Office. Maxim Shishkanov stated that in the central region there is a stable tendency to reduce the number of deaths of people in fires. According to the latest data, in 2017, 89 people were killed. At the same time, the rate of reduction in the number of fatalities in fires in the Minsk region is twice that of republican ones. "This situation is observed due to the purposeful work of all prevention subjects, primarily local authorities." Traditionally, the death of people from fires in Soligorsk, Zhodino, and in Berezinsky, Minsk and Molodechno districts remains low. bringing housing facilities into a fire-safe state, including 100 percent financing of fire prevention measures both in the framework of state programs and at the expense of budgetary funds of district executive committees, "summed up the beginning Minsk Region Administration of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
