Winter tires are held in the Minsk region on December 3, BelTA learned from the State traffic inspectorate of the Minsk region.

From December 1 to March 1, cars with a technically permissible total weight of up to 3.5 tons inclusive, passenger cars and utility vehicles with a technically permissible total mass of over 3.5 tons, and buses with a technically permissible total weight of up to 5 tons should be equipped with winter tires . Winter tires are installed on all wheels of the vehicle and must have a residual height of the tread pattern of at least 4 mm.
The State Motor Inspectorate of the Minsk region strongly recommends that drivers be extremely careful when making maneuvers on inner-yard territories and when crossing pedestrian crossings, in no case be distracted while driving.
Pedestrians, when crossing the roadway, are urged to assess the situation on the road, to avoid talking on the mobile phone, not to use headphones, and in the dark, do not forget to designate themselves as retroreflective elements.
In addition, the State traffic police appeals to motorists with a request not to remain indifferent in the situation when a pedestrian in the state of intoxication is on the roadway or near it and immediately inform about it to the telephone line 102 in the Minsk region police department on duty.
Over the past day on the roads of the capital region there were 3 accidents, as a result of which 3 people were injured.
