The solemn opening of the international specialized exhibition "Belagro-2018" will take place today in the trade and logistics center "Globus Park" in the agro-town of Shchomyslitsa, Minsk region, BelTA learned from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
Participation in the exhibition will be attended by 536 companies from 28 countries, including Austria, Great Britain, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Poland, Russia, USA, Ukraine, Finland and others.
Collective expositions will be presented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the Ministry of Industry, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Belgospischeprom concern, Belcoopsoyuz and other ministries and departments of Belarus. Separate expositions will be presented enterprises of the Czech Republic, India, Pakistan, the Kirov region of Russia.
Over 300 samples of modern machinery used in agriculture are presented at the open site of the exhibition. Techniques for fertilizer application and plant protection, for grain harvesting and fodder preparation, machines for reclamation, cultivation and harvesting of potatoes, sugar beet and other vegetables will be widely represented. Agricultural products, machinery, equipment will be demonstrated in the technological chain with modern energy-saving technologies of all industries, related both to the production of products, and to its processing, transportation, storage and sale.
Every year "Belagro" becomes one of the main sites for business negotiations. This year the exhibition will be visited by more than 20 official delegations from different countries. During the thematic conferences and seminars, such issues as ensuring the competitiveness of agricultural products, using land resources in terms of environmental and economic efficiency, prospects for cooperation between Belarus and the countries of the near and far abroad in the production of innovative technologies for agriculture will be discussed.
The program of the exhibition is filled with practical demonstrations, presentations and master classes. Scheduled and competitions, in particular tasting "Champion of taste", "Best plowman", competition for the best breeding cow.
In addition to "Belagro-2018" during the Belarusian agro-industrial week, international specialized exhibitions "Belferma", "Belproduct", "Prodmash., Cold Pack" will be held in Minsk region from 5 to 10 June.
