The contest "Uncle Beard-2018" will be held in Vileika on July 14, BelTA learned in the Vileika Palace of Culture.
The event of such a plan in Vileika is held for the first time, the idea belongs to the Palace of Culture. "Now among the guys it's fashionable to wear a beard, so we thought that the contest would be interesting and relevant for the residents of the Vileika region," the Palace of Culture explained.
Men with a beard older than 18 years old who live in the Vileika district are invited to participate. The goal of the competition is to support talented young people in realizing their creative potential, to identify and stimulate new trends in contemporary fashion and avant-garde creative directions.
The program of the performance will include the presentation of the contestant and the creative number (dance, vocal, instrumental). The participants will be judged according to the criteria of originality, entertainment, artistry, level of performance, artistic-shaped decision of stage costumes and props.
The jury will determine the winner of "Uncle Beard-2018" and mark the owners of a well-groomed, longest, natural, stylish and creative beard. As a reward, they will receive special diplomas and valuable prizes.
Applications for participation are accepted until July 12.
The contest will be held within the framework of the festival "Ukha-fest". The organizer is the Vileika Regional Executive Committee.
