The number of vacancies in the Minsk region in the first half of this year increased by 1.4 times compared to the same period last year. BelTA learned from Alexei Karalenya, deputy head of the employment department of the committee on labor, employment and social protection of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee.
"As of July 1, 13.9 thousand vacancies were declared in the region, which is 1.4 times more than on the same date last year (9.7 thousand vacancies)," noted Alexey Karalenya. < / p>
At the same time, in the first half of the year, the number of people applying for employment assistance to employment agencies decreased by more than 25%: from more than 20 thousand people to 15,1 thousand. Almost 40% less unemployed: if in January- June last year there were over 13 thousand, now it is about 8 thousand.
The coefficient of tension in the labor market has been reduced by more than 2 times in comparison with the same period of the last year. For one unemployed conditionally there are 5.5 vacancies (as of July 1 of the previous year there were 1.9).
With the employment of available vacancies and created jobs in the region helped 10.6 thousand citizens, of whom 6 thousand unemployed. More than 500 people are sent for training, over 3 thousand took part in paid public works, 141 citizens received financial support in organizing entrepreneurial, handicraft activities and activities in the field of agroecotourism. Another 16 unemployed and members of their families relocated to a new place of residence and work.
The level of registered unemployment in the region as a whole was 0.4% and is the smallest among the regions of the republic. The specialist added that "only in the first quarter of this year, 2311 people were employed for new jobs (by creating new enterprises - 1232, for additional jobs - 1079 people)."
