The final stage of the Republican action "Running Cities" started today in the Minsk region, BelTA learned from the organizers.
To participate in the action, the residents of the region need to go for a run with a smartphone and any mobile fitness application from August 27 to September 2, and then make publications in social networks with their result and hashtags #velcombegom, # minsk. The earned kilometers will go to support the regional children's center of medical rehabilitation "Pukhovichi", in which children and adolescents aged 5-18 years with cardiological, pulmonological and orthopedic and traumatological diseases are treated.
The symbolic charity run will be held on August 29 in Nesvizh around the Radziwill palace, to which all the indifferent inhabitants of Minsk and the Minsk region can join. Beginning at 17.30 in the Old Park near the stage.
The action "Running Cities" is a new stage of the charitable project #velcombegom, which is being implemented throughout the country on the initiative of velcom and the Ministry of Health. Based on the results of the races, velcom will render material assistance to six children's regional centers for medical rehabilitation. The total support fund will be Br165 thousand. Each of the children's medical institutions will receive Br15-40 thousand, depending on the activity of runners in the regions. The results of the project will be announced on September 4 at a press conference in Minsk.
The #velcombegom project is a velcom charitable sports initiative aimed at helping needy children and children's health facilities. The races #velcombegom are held annually from 2015.
