More than 68.6 thousand young Minsk dwellers underwent rehabilitation in summer camps. The head of the Minsk City Administration Office of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the population Valery Nafranovich told today at a conference on the results of the summer rehabilitation of children in the capital, BelTA informs.
"In the camps of various types, over 68.6 thousand children were recuperated, which made up 101% of the plan for the summer season. This included about 40.8 thousand in the camps with around-the-clock stay and 27.85 thousand with day care. For the first time, we achieved that the percentage of children who became healthy in country camps is higher than that of day-care institutions, ”said Valery Nafranovich.
This summer, 770 camps took young Minsk dwellers, including 32 stationary camps, 200 tent camps, 512 with day stay, 26 more settled in rented bases.
More than Br9 million of state funds were spent to reduce the cost of the stay of young residents of the capital in health institutions. The average cost of a trip to a health camp with a round-the-clock stay for 18 days was Br510, and a sports camp was Br524. A trip to the camp with a day stay cost Br93, a sports one - Br118, a labor and recreation camp - Br109, a 9-day profile - Br122. Parental surcharge was 10-25% of the cost, that is, Br51-128.
The priority direction in the organization of rest of schoolchildren remains the rehabilitation of children who are in a difficult life situation, including children with disabilities. This summer, more than 1.8 thousand orphans and children under rest of the day rested in camps with day and round-the-clock stay. As for children with disabilities, over 1.2 thousand people underwent rehabilitation, which amounted to 114% of the plan. In order to prevent offenses, about 1.15 thousand children from among registered and brought up in dysfunctional families were sent to health camps with around-the-clock stay.
Schoolchildren were given the opportunity to learn various skills, for which 588 specialized camps were organized. In the summer, more than 27 thousand children rested there, of which about 11.9 thousand children spent holidays in sports and health institutions, 973 in military-patriotic ones. Over 120 labor and recreation camps covered about 1.27 thousand children. Tourist and local history camps were very popular: over a thousand young people from Minsk spent 9 days in them.
