About 1,000 students from the Minsk region will compete for primacy in the third stage of the Republican Olympiad in academic subjects, BelTA learned in the Minsk Regional Institute for Educational Development. The regional stage of intellectual competition will be held January 8-12. 995 pupils of 8th and 11th grades from general secondary, vocational and secondary specialized education institutions in the capital region will demonstrate their knowledge in 18 school subjects. "In the second stage of the Republican Olympiad, about 8,000 students from the region took part. We are interested in selecting the best, so we pay special attention to working with gifted children. Thus, every year following the results of the competition we analyze the results, identify problems. And preparation for the Olympiad Next year we begin in the summer - talking about profile camps. She also reported on the innovation of the current school year: for the first time, an Olympiad on the subject of "Physical Culture and Health" will take place. Winners and prize winners will receive an advantage when entering higher sports institutions. The educational institutions of Zhodino, Molodechno, Slutsk, Vileika, Borisov, Uzda, Nesvizh, Soligorsk and Minsk will be the bases for holding intellectual competitions for students in the central region this year. The Minsk Regional Institute for Educational Development will gather lovers of English, Spanish, German, French and Chinese. In the Minsk State Regional Lyceum in the theoretical and practical tours will fight young biologists. Nesvizh gymnasium and Nesvizh Yakub Kolas State College will gather connoisseurs of mathematics from the whole region, and Uzden district gymnasium and Uzda state agricultural vocational lyceum are serious students of geography. Olympiads in chemistry and physical education will be held at once in four Molodechno institutions: gymnasium No. 7, secondary school No. 14, Molodechno State College and Molodechno sanatorium boarding school. Young informatics in these days will be secondary school number 12 Slutsk and Slutsk State College. Labor Olympiad will be held in secondary schools No. 5, 6 and 9 of Zhodino, as well as in the Zhodino vocational lyceum. Evaluate the performance of tasks will be a competent jury, which will include 175 teachers: specialists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, BSU, BSPU. Maxim Tank, Moscow State Linguistic University, BNTU and other universities, as well as teachers and instructors from the Minsk region and the city of Minsk. According to the results of the third stage, the composition of the student team will be determined, which will represent the region at the final stage of the Republican Olympiad in academic subjects.
