An ambulance crew in Minsk will board the helicopter later this year.

08.02.2019

This year, the city ambulance station in Minsk is planning to transfer functions to support the operation of the helicopter brigade. This was announced today at a press conference by the head physician of the station, Alexander Zhinko, BelTA informs. As previously reported, a helipad should be introduced in Minsk this year. “Somewhere around the emergency hospital,” said Alexander Zhinko. “And most likely this year the functions of the brigade, which will fly if necessary, will be transferred to our institution. Now the Republican Center for Emergency Medical Care is engaged in this.” In Belarus, there are few cases when there is a need for such help, the head doctor said. The construction of a special helipad is due to the large dimensions of the helicopter, which is used by doctors. Speaking about other construction projects, Alexander Zhinko mentioned entering the ambulance substation on the street. Syrokomli. Its appearance will increase the efficiency of providing emergency medical care to residents of nearby neighborhoods, including by updating the fleet with modern equipment. Now in Minsk there are 10 substations located in eight districts of the city (there is no need for a substation in the Sovetsky District), in fact, the staff is more than 2 thousand people. Today, Minsk ambulance is staffed by about 70% doctors, paramedics - by almost 90%. Every year comes replenishment in the form of young specialists, but not all are fixed. There are fewer students in teams - up to 100 people in total
