The section of the Sluch river from the village of Vysnischi to the village of Rudnya with a length of 10.3 km is planned to be cleared in 2019-2020, director of the Slutsk melioration system enterprise Alexander Khorevich told BelTA. A question about cleaning the river was asked by a resident of the village of Miheki, Slutsk district, during the Belta campaign “Your question to the President.”
“The Sluch river cleaning will begin in the fourth quarter of this year, will be completed in 2020. We will carry out the work in two stages, because the object is expensive, budget financing does not allow you to do everything for a year. Design estimates have been developed, and mechanized bottom cleaning has been provided. The reservoir on this section of the river is 0.5 cubic meters per meter at a norm of 0.35, "said Alexander Khorevich.
This section of the river is not accidental. This creates a water backwater, because of which water does not come out well from the agricultural land of JSC "Agro-Zamost" located nearby. This does not allow for a timely harvesting campaign and full use of the land: in the spring, when the snow is melting, the farm cannot sow here, and in the rainy autumn - to harvest. Cleaning the Cases will remove the backwater. If during works the river slopes are cut, then after cleaning the area will be re-planted with herbs.
Works will be performed at the expense of the republican budget. The cost of the project is about Br280 thousand. This year it is planned to allocate about Br100 thousand, the rest of the amount - next year. The customer is Belvodkhoz. A tender will be held for the project, including Slutsk enterprise of land reclamation systems among the candidates.
As it was reported, on the eve of the “Big Talk with the President”, BelTA held a rally “Your question to the President”, during which about 2 thousand complaints were received.
