Shares of healthy lifestyles will be held in enterprises and pharmacies in Minsk on May 15

On May 15, the City Health Center will hold in Minsk another informational and educational campaign on the prevention of cancer, endocrinological and cardiovascular diseases in pharmacies and enterprises of the capital, BelTA learned from the City Health Center.
Minskers will be able to measure pressure, height, weight, fill out questionnaires for the early detection of cardiovascular diseases, take reminders, booklets on the subject of a healthy lifestyle. Doctors will conduct individual consultations on the prevention of diseases of the circulatory system and the formation of a healthy lifestyle.
This time, the shares will be the company "Polygraph Factory named after Y. Kolas" (st. Korzhenevsky, 20), PROP "Minskintercaps" (st. Inzhenernaya, 26), OJSC "Kommunarka" (st. Aranskaya, 18 - jointly with UZ "18th City Polyclinic"), Minskreklama Unitary Enterprise (38, Gurskogo St.), Evroopt shopping center (1/7, Mendeleev St.), Belenergoremnaladka (18, Academicheskaya, St.) NPO Center "(19 Sharangovicha St.), pharmacies No. 1 and No. 59 of the RUP Belfarmatsiya (V. Horuzhey St., 21 and Kropotkin St., 33). Meetings will be held from 10.00 to 15.00.
The preventive project started in Minsk more than a year ago. Health days were held, including at the largest facilities of the city, in shopping centers, stores, in the pharmacy chain of RUE Belfarmatsiya and other industrial enterprises and facilities of the capital - every first and third Wednesday of the month. According to the survey, the main risk factors for the development of non-communicable diseases in Minsk were smoking, drinking alcohol, physical inactivity, and poor diet. Signs of risk among the participants of the action were noted by more than 94% of respondents. At the same time, everyone understands that maintaining a healthy lifestyle can significantly reduce the likelihood of these diseases.
Non-communicable diseases include cardiovascular, oncological, chronic respiratory diseases, diabetes, mental disorders. There are several risk factors that increase the likelihood of their chronic forms. With age, the risk of cardiovascular disease increases. However, life can be prolonged if not smoked, eat right, move more, get rid of overweight, normalize blood pressure, control cholesterol levels, blood sugar.
The action is organized by the City Health Center, the Minsk City Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology, the Health Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee.
