14.06.2019

The photo-documentary exhibition “We have been bringing this day as we could” to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders will open on June 18 in the Atrium Gallery of the National Library of Belarus. This BelTA reported in the library.
This is the second part of the "Meet the Victory" project, the first one opened on May 3 and was presented with a book and art exposition.
The entire history of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders will unfold on exhibition stands. Documentary information and photographs of the events of the war will tell about the perfidious attack of Army Group Center, fierce battles in the area of the Brest Fortress, heroic exploits. Thanks to the collected materials, you can learn more about the genocide, the bloody terror of the Nazis, the camp of Soviet prisoners of war and civilians, as well as the unprecedented in its mass character and stubbornness of resistance to occupation - the partisan movement that unfolded in Belarus.
The exhibition also reflects the results of the desperate struggle for freedom: the Belarusian operation Bagration, the liberation of the capital of Belarus on July 3, 1944, awarding the city of Minsk the honorary title Hero City. The exhibition will complement and decorate the exhibition design of the red star, which literally ignites the fire of memory and victory in the art gallery of the project. Part of the design will be flags from the funds of the State Museum of Military History.
The project is organized by the National Library in cooperation with the National Archives and the State Museum of Military History of Belarus.
