The exhibition "Money of our time: life without extra zeros", dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Belarusian ruble, will open at the Museum of Modern Belarusian Statehood on June 28, BelTA learned in the museum. "The national currency is not only an important economic tool, but also one of the main symbols of the state and an essential attribute of its independence. October marks 25 years since the Supreme Council of the Republic of Belarus fixed the Belarusian ruble at the legislative level as a single legal payment means of the country and the payment ticket of the National Bank. This decision was the final stage in the process of acquiring the status of a national monetary unit by the Belarusian ruble, "the museum noted. The temporary exhibition reflects the chronology of the formation of cash circulation in Belarus at the present stage after the 2016 denomination. "The exhibition will show the originals of objects illustrating the process of developing the current banknote series and creating the National Bank's circulating coins: sketches of the current banknote series, watermarks, text layout schemes, approved production banknote samples, uncut banknote sheets, coin blanks, etc." - told in the museum. Advisory assistance in creating the exposition was provided by the National Bank. The exhibition "Money of our time: life without extra zeros" will work until August 2.
