Ministry of Emergency Situations to hold exercises at the Minsk Motor Plant

17.07.2019

On July 17, the capital rescuers will conduct special tactical exercises on the territory of the Management Company of the Minsk Motor Plant holding from 11.00 to 12.00. Such information is posted on the website of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, BelTA informs.
Such trainings are conducted regularly to work out the interaction of rescuers with the administration of the facility and city services during emergency response, as well as to train personnel and check the readiness of the facility to act in case of an emergency.
According to the legend of the exercise, as a result of a power surge in the medical sanitary part of the enterprise, there will be a short circuit of the electrical wiring followed by ignition in the office of the dental laboratory. The fire spreads over two floors of the building. In parallel, rescuers will eliminate a vast fire on the roof of the aluminum casting workshop, rescue people from the rubble after the explosion and eliminate the consequences of a strong wind. All work is complicated by the large number of people in the buildings of the enterprise, as well as by the victims.
The rescue exercise will involve 60 rescuers and more than 15 pieces of equipment, including helicopters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations aviation. Tactical-special exercises of this scale and with the involvement of aviation are held for the first time on the territory of an industrial enterprise in Minsk.
Minsk Motor Plant celebrates its 56th anniversary in July. The company is the largest manufacturer of diesel engines in Eastern Europe. It occupies an area of almost forty football fields, it is located about 160 buildings and 320 buildings, employs more than 3 thousand people.
