As of August 20, Belarusian farmers threshed more than 6 million tons of grain. The average yield is 31.5 centners per hectare. The threshing in the Minsk region is over 1 million 600 thousand tons, the plan for the harvesting of grain and leguminous plants is 94% complete.
Following the grain, the second bread arrived. The farmers of the Minsk region started harvesting potatoes. This year the weather was not very favorable, but thanks to high-quality varieties and an appropriate technological approach, they count on yields no worse than last year. Mass harvesting of potatoes will begin next week. In the meantime, the first tons of the harvest of the new season are sent to the bookmark in stabilization funds.
