In April, villagers from Minsk region will be consulted on vaccination against COVID-19

13.04.2021

The action "Health Priority: Equal Access to Vaccination" starts in the central region on 7 April.

This was told in the public health department of the Minsk Regional Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health.

Today, the republic's health care is faced with the task of mass immunization and ensuring equal access to vaccination for the entire population of the country.

“As polls show, people are wary of vaccinations. It is necessary to explain the importance of creating individual immunity against COVID-19 infection, and at the same time forming collective protection against viral infection, ”the experts noted.

In order to convey complete and reliable information about vaccination, an action will be held in the metropolitan region for World Health Day. Within a month, when traveling to provide medical care to residents of rural areas, as well as during the work of field feldsher points, doctors will advise the population and local specialists on vaccination, maintaining a healthy lifestyle and preventing non-communicable diseases in the current epidemic conditions.

Anyone can take part in the action

World Health Day is celebrated on April 7 to commemorate the anniversary of the founding of the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1948. It is held annually to raise awareness of major public health issues. Many long-term health education programs start on this day. Each year, for this date, a topic is chosen that touches on the most pressing health issues at the moment. The theme for 2021 is "Build a fairer, healthier world."
