The Belarusmedica expo has opened in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
Opening this important medical forum, Belarusian Healthcare Minister Dmitry Pinevich mentioned that there is nothing more important than health. Countries, which are interested in social justice and universal coverage with medical services, aim for it. The government conference held by the head of state on 23 May to discuss the most pressing healthcare issues focused on these matters.
According to Dmitry Pinevich, the fact that the expo opened after the government conference hosted by the president was significant. In his words, the expo will be used to improve the quality of medical aid available to Belarusian citizens.
The Belarusmedica expo is the largest event in the region in the area of medicine and healthcare. It includes an expo and an extensive business program. The expo attracts a large number of Belarusian and foreign experts. Taking part in the expo are over 150 organizations from eight countries. Companies from Belarus, Hungary, India, Iran, China, Russia, Pakistan, and South Korea are represented. Among them are leading domestic and foreign manufacturers of medical equipment, medical goods, consumables, dentistry equipment, and pharmaceutical products.
An extensive business program has been traditionally organized: over 30 science to practice seminars, conferences, and presentations will be held. A Belarusian-Indian pharmaceutical forum will take place on 24 May. Representatives of Indian companies, which products are on display at the Belarusmedica expo, will take part in the forum.
