Igor Petrishenko said: “The spectrum of the tasks we jointly tackle is still rather broad and requires constant tight interaction. The operation of the coordinating council of representatives of government agencies for matters of biological security under the aegis of the Collective Security Treaty Organization confirms it.”
In his words, these problems are becoming particularly relevant in modern day and age, including due to growing concerns about deliberate biological incidents and threats of natural and artificial nature. “I'd like the operation of the coordinating council to truly become the engine of further constructive joint work. I believe that we should anticipate events and create effective monitoring tools for biological security oversight at all levels. We should also respond to new challenges in a systemic manner. I know that constant work is in progress in terms of bilateral interagency contacts of the relevant agencies of our countries,” the deputy prime minister noted.
Igor Petrishenko thanked the Rospotrebnadzor head for assistance being rendered and support both with personnel training and with the provision of modern equipment, technologies, consumables, participation in joint scientific projects.
