— This initiative is aimed at creating a culture of safe work and reducing industrial injuries to zero, — noted Angela Bunyak, chief specialist of the social and labor relations department of the labor, employment and social protection department of the district executive committee. — The main goal is to draw attention to labor protection issues, to encourage employers and employees to work together to create safe and healthy working conditions.
According to the order of the district executive committee, a plan for holding the «Zero Injury Week in the District» has been approved. Hotlines, district Occupational Safety and Health Day and a seminar for the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, meetings in work collectives on compliance by employers with labor protection legislation in organizations — these and a number of other events will be held in the district.
The district mobile group will inspect organizations in order to provide practical and methodological assistance in ensuring labor protection legislation, preventing industrial injuries, promptly identifying and eliminating violations of safety requirements. In addition, the district organizations will inform employees about the state of conditions and labor protection in the workplace, the existing risk of damage to health, the personal protective equipment due to employees, compensation for work in harmful or hazardous working conditions. Daily monitoring of compliance by employees with labor protection requirements in organizations and structural divisions will also be carried out. If violations are detected, orders will be issued to eliminate them.
The raid group’s visits will help to carry out inspections of business entities in the Kopyl district, aimed at identifying and preventing the facts of employees being in the workplace in a state of alcoholic intoxication.
