More than 30 combiners in the Minsk oblast have harvested 1,000 tonnes of grain, BelTA learnt from the main ideology department f the oblast executive committee.
The leader is the team of Nikolai and Alexander Butrimovich from the agricultural company Timiryazevsky, Kopyl region. They have cropped 1,884 tonnes of grain. A family team from the same company, Sergei and Olga Pyatigorets, has harvested 1,727 tonnes. Andrei Baran and Mikhail Moroz from the agricultural company Gorodeya, Nesvizh region, has gathered 1,522 tonnes.
A driver Vadim Glinchik from the agricultural company Kholopenichi has transported 1,651 tonnes of grain.
As of august 6 the Minsk oblast harvested 227,500 hectares of grain crops, or 38% of the total cropping area. The gross harvest is 823,100 tonnes; the yield is 36.5 centners per hectare. In terms of grain yield the leaders are the Nesvizh, Minsk and Kletsk regions: 64.5, 54.2 and 52.7 centner/ha respectively.
Special teams for repairs and technical maintenance of farm machines operate day and night. Agricultural organisations are supplied promptly with fuel and lubricants.
