The agricultural companies of the Minsk oblast are soon to harvest the first one million tonnes of grain, BelTA was told in the agriculture and food department of the Minsk oblast executive committee.
As of early August 7 the harvest in the Minsk oblast reached 840,000 tonnes. The oblast has cropped 232,400 hectares, or 39% of the total cropping area. The average yield is 36.4 centners per hectare, up five centners from last year.
The yield leaders are the Nesvizh, Minsk and Kletsk regions, with 64.8, 54.5 and 52.9 centners per hectare. The gross harvest leaders are the Slutsk and Kopyl regions, with 74,300 tonnes and 69,400 tonnes of grain.
Among the agricultural companies the leaders are Agrokombinat Snov, OAO Gastellovskoye, republican unitary experimental agricultural company Voskhod and Agrokombinat Zhdanovichi. These companies have the highest grain yield: 101, 83.7, 79.3 and 78.3 centners per hectare.
The number of combiner teams who have harvested more than 1,000 tonnes has been growing. A team of Nikolai and Aelxander Butrimovich (the agricultural company Timiryazevsky, Kopyl region) has harvested 1,915 tonnes on 456 hectares, Andrei Baran and Mikhail Moroz (the agricultural company Gorodeya, Nesvizh region) has cropped 1,522 tonnes on 260.6 hectares, Sergei and Olga Pyatigorets (the agricultural company Timiryazevsky) 1,759 tonnes of grain.
