The Minsk oblast has finished the work on extending gas supply network to its regional centres, BelTA learnt from Sergei Zherdetsky, Director General of Minskoblgaz Company. “We have extended the network to the town of Berezino. It was the last regional centre in the country which had not had such service,” the specialist said. To supply gas to Berezino, Belgazstroi Company has laid 15.4 kilometres of pipeline, invested Br3.8 billion in construction. All in all, in 2008, Belgazstroi intends to extend the gas supply network to 9,000 apartments and houses (500 kilometres of gas pipelines). According to Sergei Zherdetsky, they also provide this service to villages. 30% of the expenses for design and construction of gas pipelines are financed by the government, the rest expenses by households.
