In January-October 2008, construction companies of the Minsk oblast commissioned 824.2 thousand square metres of housing, or 87.7% of the annual target, BelTA learnt in the Minsk Oblast Statistical Department. In the period under review, the Minsk oblast increased the housing construction by 5.2% as against the same period of last year. The main financing sources were population’s funds (62.3%), banking loans (33.2%), the consolidated budget (1.3%). The Minsk oblast commissioned 661.4 thousand square metres of housing (5867 apartments) in villages and small towns. The construction companies fulfilled the annual target (101.8%). In 2008, the Minsk oblast intends to build 1 thousand 510 one-apartment houses in rural areas. In January-October 2008, some 1217 houses (80.6% of the annual target) were commissioned. Some Br200.3 billion was assigned for the housing construction in the region. БЕЛТА
