The average salaries are projected to make up Br1 million 97 thousand in the Minsk oblast and Br910,000 in small and medium-sized towns of the oblast by the end of 2009. These parameters are spelled out in the Minsk oblast programme for socio-economic development, BelTA learnt in the economy department of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee. In 2009, the number of the personnel involved in the public production will increase up to 664,000 people including 164,600 people in small towns of the oblast. By the end of 2009, the unemployment level is projected at 1.1% of the total number of economically active population (0.9% - in small towns). As for the employment pattern, the Minsk oblast will continue to develop the non-production branches of the economy by means of setting up private unitary companies and individual businesses in the service industry.
