In line with the Minsk oblast programme for socio-economic development, in 2009 the investments in the fixed capital will be upped by 41% to make up around Br4.1 trillion, BelTA learnt in the economy committee of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee. In 2008, Br2.9 trillion is expected to be invested in the fixed capital. In 2009, the Minsk oblast will continue to construct significant social facilities. The regional budget will assign around Br101.5 billion for the construction of these kind of facilities including Br53 billion – for the health care, social, sports and tourism areas, Br28 billion – for the educational area, Br7 billion – for the cultural area, Br8 billion – for the municipal economy. The Starobin boarding school, a therapeutic centre of the Minsk Oblast Child Hospital (Borovlyany), the Minsk oblast equestrian centre “Urozhainy”, other facilities are expected to be launched in the Minsk oblast in 2009. In 2009, the Minsk oblast intends to commission 1087 thousand square metres of housing. In line with the Belarus state investment programme for 2009, the national budget assigned Br73.7 billion for the construction of various municipal facilities in the Minsk oblast. The construction of a foam concrete production line is expected to be launched at the Zabudova Company /Minsk oblast/. The national budget will assign Br22.4 billion for implementation of the state programme “Pure Water” and some Br4.2 billion – for the sanitation programme of Lake Naroch. In 2009, the Minsk oblast intends to attract foreign investments actively. The construction of Golf Club of the sports and tourist golf-centre (Minsk oblast), the Prilesie Logistics Centre, BLT-Logistics foreign company, August-Bel company and other facilities will continue.
