MINSK, March 16 (BelTA) – More than 150 tourist excursions have been developed in the Minsk oblast, BelTA learnt from the physical culture, sport and tourism department of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee. The most popular tourist excursions are “Seven Wonders of the Minsk Oblast”, “Christmas Fairytale”, “Historical and cultural Memorial Stalin’s Line” and “Dudutki – the centre of ancient crafts and technologies”. In 2008, 210,000 tourists visited the Minsk oblast including 17,000 foreign tourists. All in all, in 2008, tourist organizations rendered services at the amount of around Br14.2 billion. “There are a lot of places in the Minsk oblast which may be of interest to visitors. These are the ancient towns of Nesvizh and Zaslavl, the Berezina Biosphere Reserve, the Narochansky National Park, 52 wildlife reserves of the region,” specialists of the physical culture, sport and tourism department noted. To promote the tourist opportunities of the Minsk oblast , information booklets “From Minsk to Kletsk”, “Sport Minsk” , “Borisov Triangle”, “From Logoisk Mountains to Marjina Gorka”, “Let’s Study the Minsk Oblast”, “Patriotic Itinerary”, “Seven Wonders of Minsk Oblast” have been issued. The information about the tourist potential of the Minsk oblast is available on the web-site of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee. The physical culture, sport and tourism department of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee annually takes part in exhibitions “Sportexpo”, “Rest”, “Tourist Business” and others. БЕЛТА
