MINSK, March 25 (BelTA) – Companies of the Minsk oblast have concluded around 10,000 contracts at the amount of Br603.7 billion for goods supply in 2009, BelTA learnt from the economy department of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee. In 2009, the export to foreign countries will make up Br449.4 billion (more than 370 contracts were signed); the export to CIS countries will make up Br18.8 billion (61 contracts). According to the economy department, to preserve the existing potential of the industrial complex, the Minsk oblast is conducting anti-crisis measures. These measures are aimed at ensuring the stable work of the real sector of the economy, fulfilling the targets of the socio and economic development for the current year. The companies of the region intend to increase the overall production, change the structure of the produced goods, reduce the production time, develop and introduce the flexible discount system. Stock resources are to be reduced owing to the new contracts with trading organizations, expansion of sales geography, participation in exhibitions and fairs. Every company will do its utmost to reduce charges, improve the economic efficiency and reconstruct their production facilities. “At present, experts note a sales slowdown for Belarusian products in the world because of deceleration of the economic growth in the countries – trade partners of Belarus and reduction in prices for exported goods. Especially it concerns the chemical, petrochemical, light industry, machine-building, metalworking and construction materials production,” specialists of the economy department noted. In January-February 2009, the industrial production growth in the Minsk oblast made up 91.6% as against the same period of 2008. The production of consumer goods upped by 5.6%. БЕЛТА
