LOGOISK REGION, June 10 (BelTA) – Foreign investors are expected to be involved in creation of farmsteads in the Minsk oblast, Oleg Kachan, head of the physical culture, sport and tourism department of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee, told BelTA. On June 9, a session of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee approved the programme on agro-eco-tourism development for 2009-2010. The programme has been developed on the base of foreign and domestic experience in this area. The programme will promote such kind of rest and creation of favourable conditions for tourists. In the near two years, the main efforts will be made to develop automobile roads, road infrastructure, specialists training. As of June 1, the Minsk oblast numbered 155 farmsteads. The major part of them is located in the Minsk, Pukhovichi, Myadel, Molodechno and Logoisk regions. Every year, the popularity of the agro-eco-tourism grows, the number of the people involved in rural tourism increases. In 2006, the Minsk oblast numbered 7 farmsteads, in 2007 – 48 and in 2008 – 125. The farmsteads constantly expand the list of services – from fishing and sauna to national cuisine tasting and walking tours. The every region of the Minsk oblast with the participation of representatives of Belagroprombank set up working groups to work with local farmsteads. Special informative booklets were published.
