MINSK, June 24 (BelTA) – The Minsk oblast developed 14 military-patriotic excursions timed to the 65th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from the Nazi invaders, BelTA learnt from the ideology department of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee. The excursions will be made to the historical sites connected with the Great Patriotic War. The most significant of them are the Khatyn Memorial Compound, Dalva, the Hill of Glory, the historical and cultural memorial Stalin’s Line. All in all, there are more than a thousand of historical sites and 1810 monuments, obelisks and commemorative plaques timed to World War II in the Minsk oblast. By July 3, new monuments will be unveiled. These are the memorial compound in the village of Budenichi, the monument to Aslanov in Vileika, the memorial sign to the Kopyl residents who were killed during occupation, the memorial sign in honor of liberation of Zhodino. According to the ideology department of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee, the Minsk oblast has issued the special information booklet dedicated to the 65th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from the Nazi invaders; the state museums are restoring the expositions timed to World War II, preparing special exhibitions.
